Published: Sat, 09/14/19

Bad start to the year on the college football free picks. We were bound to hit some regression after the great run on the free picks last year. Overall, 78-49 last 127 free plays sent out by newsletter (61.4%). Hopefully we can get back on the winning side with this free play. The goal here is to help get you information that will help you win.

Saturday CFB Free Pick

Rotation #119- Pittsburgh +17.5- Penn State and Pittsburgh don't like each other at all. James Franklin and Pat Narduzzi have had some run ins in recent years. Last year, Penn State led Pittsburgh by a score of 7-6 with 30 seconds left in the first half. The Nittany Lions ended up with a 390-300 total yardage each, but they won the game 51-6. Two years ago, Penn State won by 19 points against Pittsburgh, but the Panthers actually outgained the Nittany Lions.

Last week, Buffalo outgained Penn State, but the Nittany Lions rolled to a big win late after trailing early. The Nittany Lions are clearly down a couple notches without Trace McSorley. Pittsburgh should view this as an opportunity. The Panthers have a new offensive coordinator in Mark Whipple, and I think they can keep this game close. I would rate this game higher, but I do worry a bit that James Franklin will try to run up the score late if he can. Consider putting part of the bet on Pittsburgh 1st half and part of the bet on the full game. This is a numbers play for me. Take Pittsburgh.

Sharp Money Betting Information for Saturday

Northern Illinois/Nebraska-
58% of the bets are on Nebraska and 59% of the money are on Northern Illinois +14 here. Northern Illinois is a sharp side here. I haven't bet the game, but my lean is toward the Huskies. This is a high variance game though.

Eastern Michigan/Illinois- The sharps like Eastern Michigan a lot here. Illinois is getting 62% of the bets, but 65% of the money is on Eastern Michigan. Most of the sharp money came in at +7.5. Eastern Michigan has had a lot of close games in recent years, but they are in their third straight road game to start the year. A complicated handicap here. I'll be watching from the sideline.

I think it is helpful to see where the sharps side even if you aren't getting involved in the game. If there are enough of you who like to see this kind of information, I'd be glad to keep passing it along through the football season. Let me know if this information you want to continue to see.

I'll have more contests coming soon. Best of luck with all your bets this weekend. Free sports picks at the site daily.
