Last Sunday was a Sunday to forget for me. I went 0-5 in the NFL. A couple of bad luck losses and three bad plays. No excuses here. Why am I publicizing my ugly Sunday from last week? I've been asked this question before by both clients and other handicappers when I tell everyone about how I did poorly. Here's the truth: no one is going to win all the time. If you win 55% of the time in this industry you are really good. Rather than try to spin it and sound like I win all the time, I feel like it's better to be 100% honest all the time and not hide anything. I've hit 56% of my NFL plays in the past five years, but last weekend was a really bad week!

Wichita State -2
*3 Star Free Pick* The Wichita State Shockers suffered some disappointing losses this year, but they had some massive injury problems during those losses. Fred Van Vleet is the heart and soul of this team at point guard, and the team lost three games in a row when he was out of the lineup. Van Vleet is now back in the lineup. Anton Grady is still out, which hurts, but that is reflected in this line.
It isn't easy to win games at Wichita State, and the Shockers have some revenge dating back to last year against Utah. Wichita State lost by a single point in overtime at Utah last year. Utah is a good team again this year, but their upside isn't as high now that they are without Delon Wright at point guard spot.
Utah is a totally different team on the road compared to at home, and this is their first road game of the season. Take Wichita State minus the short number.
